Books are powerful.
That’s why scientists have dubbed books; “super brain food” after years of research on the effects of reading on the brain.
And that’s why the average CEO reads about 35 books per year.
Think about that for a second.
Books expand your thinking. It broadens your perspective on life. And this gives you insurmountable leverage in your business, career, relationships, health, and all the other areas of your life.
When you read a good (informative) book, it’s like you’re updating the software of your brain.
When you read this type of book—a good informative book, the book is able to come off as a good book because of the years of research and the years of effort the author has put into writing that book.
So, when you read and absorb the information, what you’re getting in that condensed format is years’ worth of knowledge.
To make your nofap journey as transformative as possible, you have to make it a habit to read constantly.
In this post, I give you the best nofap books that have been of great help to me for my nofap success.
These books prevented relapses, changed my mentality for the better, and transformed my life.
Some of the books I’ll recommend won’t mention anything related to sex, porn addiction, nofap or semen retention, but they are equally transformative and (somehow) related to your nofap journey in the grand scheme of things.
What you will learn
How to make sure you read these books when you’re on nofap
Everyone wants to cultivate a good reading habit.
Everyone knows that leaders are readers.
Yet, people can’t either find the time or the discipline that an everyday reading habit requires of them.
Luckily for our generation, technology has given us ways around some of the things we find difficult to do.
If you find it difficult to carve out the time to read, or just hate reading in general, there are other ways you can get the most from the nofap books in this post.
If you don’t like to read books, you can listen to books.
The audible program by amazon is a lifesaver. You can listen to these books while commuting, while doing house chores, when you’re about to sleep, or anywhere else.
And on top of that, if you were to buy through my link, you’ll be getting the first audiobook free of charge. If you decide to cancel your subscription at any point, you get to keep the book.
So, you really don’t have any excuse as to why you won’t read (or listen) to the books I’m about to recommend.
9 MUST-READ nofap books when you are on nofap
I have compiled all the books that have really impacted my life in a BIG way.
The books cut across various aspects of life, and you’ll be amazed if you can read and (or) listen to them.
That said, the list contains affiliate links. If you buy through these links, you’ll be helping me out in keeping this website running.
Without further ado, let’s get into it.
Your Brain on Porn by Gary Wilson
Your Brain on Porn was my first real insight into porn addiction. This book gave me the conviction that porn addiction is real.
This book is rooted in scientific research. Wilson provided the science of why porn can be addictive and how bad of a problem it’s become in our society.
YBOP is the book that sort of blew the lid off of porn addiction and introduced the world to the concept.
With millions of copies sold worldwide, and the book already translated into several languages, the wealth of knowledge in YBOP is undeniable.
When you’re attempting nofap, or you’re already doing it, if you really want to get educated on the side-effects of excessive PMO, you should consider listening to this book or reading it.
I listen to this book every now and then, and after a session of listening, it kind of reminds me of the havoc that porn has wrecked on my life. With this, I get a renewed motivation to make NoFap my way of life.

A World Without Porn by Yours Truly
Because of the way I struggled with achieving the nofap challenge, I promised myself back then that if I successfully break this addiction, I would teach others how to do it.
While some people find the nofap challenge easy to do after one or two tries, the majority of us find nofap difficult to do.
I was a chronic porn addict for 13 years. Been watching porn since I was 12 years old. Of the 13 years, 7 years had been about trying to quit. During the seven years, I searched high and mighty for help. I just couldn’t find any.
All the books I read said something like this, “You have a porn addiction, stop watching porn”. And that would be the extent of it.
There wasn’t ANY comprehensive, cheap, and most importantly, effective help for porn addicts.
So, I went to work.
I read books, researches, saw a therapist, tried different things, tested different things on myself. The ones that really helped in successfully breaking this addiction, I wrote in a step-by-step easy-to-use format in the book I titled; A World Without Porn.
My struggle with porn addiction helped me achieve empirical validation for the work in this book. Achieving a breakthrough after 7 years of consistent relapse proved that there can’t be many addicts out there that have it worse than me. So, if the methods in the book can work for me, it can work for anybody else. And I was right!!
I took these methods to over 30 other porn addicts I met through my website and the nofap forums; it worked like magic for them.
Since publication to the time of writing this, I’ve sold 2,686 copies of this book and I’ve received over 300 written testimonies from people telling me that the methods I demonstrated in the book have helped them break their porn and masturbation addiction.
The book contains everything you’ll ever need to quit porn and never look back.
Over the years, people that have applied the methods in this book have only good things to say. It has helped them achieved the nofap challenge after several years of struggle.
The book has metamorphosed into a full-blown course with accompanying mp3s and materials that will speed up rebooting and recovery. These add-ons come at no extra cost and if you take the time to check it out, you’ll realize the book is of great value.
No More Mr. Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover
This book is a product of years and years of the author’s experience, patients’ experiences, and all sorts of field-tested facts and statistics.
Till I read this book, I had no idea what a nice guy syndrome was. I had no idea that I was a nice guy.
This book resonated with me so much that after reading it, I read it again, and again, and again. Then I recommended it to two friends, who also read it over and over again.
This book will help you understand why you developed a PMO addiction in the first place. Because chances are if you’re addicted to porn, you are a nice guy. You can take that to the bank.
The kicker is that this nice guy syndrome affects every other part of your life; your relationships, your finances, your career, and so on.
Doing nofap is a huge step in getting rid of this syndrome. The author also reveals the ways to get rid of this syndrome and live a better life as a result.

Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill
This is the book that gave me my breakthrough in life.
This book is my Bible.
I live my life in accordance to the rules and guidelines set forth by Mr. Hill in this book.
After reading this book, I understood how fear had been holding me back and how it’s been blocking all the things I wanted to manifest in my life.
This book is a follow up to his record-breaking book; think and grow rich. It reveals the ways to apply what he taught in think and grow rich in the practical scene of life.
Napoleon Hill told his story of how he struggled to apply what he’s been teaching millions of people. And how he tested those philosophies for himself and got the empirical validation that the philosophies are true for anybody that would apply them.
Outwitting the devil is an interview that Mr. Hill had with the devil. He forced the devil to reveal all his secrets in this book. He revealed how PMOing will keep you mediocre and how channeling your sexual energy can make you a superior man among your peers.
In this book, you get to understand how the devil has been using several mainstream media and authority in our society to do his bidding.
One thing I realized after reading this book was that transformation is never too late. Anytime you decide to wake up from the deep slumber you’ve been put in, you can truly live the type of life you want to live.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson
Mark Manson is not your conventional author. His view on life is counter-intuitive.
And he does a good job of serving the dishes of several unpalatable truths in their raw form.
He’s a say-it-as-you-see-it kind of guy and that’s what always makes his books hypnotic.
This book will get you to think, and more importantly, get you to set your priorities in life.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
This book on spiritual enlightenment has sold over 10 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 languages.
This was the book that introduced me to my higher self and the power of living in the moment.
Ekhart Tole delved into how we are always either living in our memories or how we are always projecting the future.
We rarely live in the moment. We are rarely present.
Reading this book will help you a lot when you’re on nofap. It will help you leave your ego-mind behind and this allows the higher self to take control.

Honorable Mentions
I put these books in the honorable mention category because I think you must have read some of the books in this category, or the topics discussed in these books are for advanced fapstranuats, or the topics in the books are not too related to nofap and doesn’t have a direct application to nofap like the other books above.
That said, these factors don’t make these books less important.
Models by Mark Manson
This is the book that transformed my dating life. This book gave me every tool I needed to master the game of dating.
It made me realize that dating isn’t as scary and dreadful as my mind as made it up to be.
A lot of guys got addicted to porn because their dating game sucks. So, if you can work on your dating life and make it better, you’re indirectly becoming someone that doesn’t need porn.
Up until the time he condensed everything he knew about dating into this book, Mark has been a successful dating coach for more than three years. And he had a lot of clients he’s helped to get laid to show for it.
This book has everything you’ll ever need to become the confident dating superstar you’ve always wanted to become.
What you’ll learn in this book is not like any of the PUA bullshit that’s being floated around these days. This book completely flipped the script so that you’ll make lasting changes and become the best version of yourself as a man.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
I assume you’ve read this book or at least heard about it somewhere.
Why?
Because as at the time of writing this post, this book has officially sold over 15 million copies worldwide. It revolutionized (if not ushered in) the self-help and self-improvement industry.
This is the book that fueled the nofap movement. The chapter on sexual transmutation opened people’s eyes to the fact the fapping to porn is affecting their success in life.
Napoleon Hill was tasked by Andrew Carnegie to study over 500 successful people and observe what makes them successful. It was his findings that he published in this book.
If you haven’t read this book before, you can listen to it here.
